Arrows, Bows, Magic, Masterwork, Mighty Mayhem!!!

Not sure if this is best suited for the Rules forum or this forum, and I can't find it in the PhB or the DmG, but I'm sure it's in there somewhere.

Assuming in all the following questions a character with the requisite strength to gain the most use out of their mighty bows:

What damage bonus/to hit bonus, would you get when using a Masterwork Mighty (+2) Composite Longbow firing +1 arrows?
+2 to hit (+1 from Masterwork, +1 from the Arrow) , +3 damage (+2 from Mighty, +1 from Arrow)?

How about a Magical (+2) Mighty (+2) Composite Longbow firing +1 arrows? +3 to hit (+2 Magical Bow, +1 Magical Arrow), +5 damage (+2 Magical Bow, +2 Mighty, +1 Arrow)?

That last example is the one I think is probably wrong (well, both very well could be).

Thanks!

Yup, Bows and Ammunition enhancements stack (it's an exception), but magical and masterwork enhancements overlap if on the same item (ie arrow or bow).

So, you're saying that my second example is correct but that my first is flawed? In the first case of a Masterwork Mighty (+2) Composite Longbow firing +1 arrows it would only be a +1 to hit and +3 damage as opposed to +2 to hit?

You are Correct Sir!

I think he's saying simply that the two bonuses masterwork and +1 do not stack if they are on the same item i.e, a +1 bow by default must be of masterwork quality and the same rule applies to the arrow.

Anyway you are correct in both accounts.

Good Gaming to you,

Exactly. And technically, the next time you ask a queastion like this, it probably should go in the Rules forum.
