Leo: While not broken, the circle appears inactive. Your spell, however, doesn't net you any information at all. Chances are the wounds are too old.

Leo shrugs. "I don't know much about demons. Ilshana seems to be versed in Infernal Lore, however."

OOC: Demons usually do as much harm as they can; they don't need a reason to curse someone, only an opportunity. The need for an "appropriate vengence" sounds more faerie. But then again, maybe I'm wrong. At any rate, I think confronting the child-demon will likely advance the plot, and I don't want to leave this place with the curse still in place...

Gorgamesh

Most of your story seems to be reasonable as Leo agreed, but one thing.
Gorgamesh walks back and forth. He then stops
I’m not sure that mages are dead ... well literally. What I understood is that their bodies are not among the living anymore, but I fear the demons are playing with their souls and the evidence is what I saw from the portal.
The demons are dancing around the poor souls while a demon named Barbatos is torturing them.

Ilshana shrugs at Leo's observation. "I actually know a lot more about faeries than demons...but you know...you pick things up, here and there. Besides, you don't have to know sometimes. Sometimes things just...reveal themselves."

She nods at Gorgamesh. "You're probably right, unless it's just something they're trying to lure us in with, but what are we going to do about it? They were the ones making deals with devils."

"Anyway! Forcing the demon baby back into Hell might at least help. The only other idea I can think of offhand is to wait for her to come back tonight, and see if we can fight her off."

She looks around the library.

"Or we could try to translate some of these notes and see what they were up to."

Your options do appear to be to manipulate the creature in the circle, or leave to translate the things you have found.

It also still is night. 3 odd months might of passed for us, but it's only be a few hours for our intrepid magi.

So, I suggest a vote to keep things moving.

Leo nods. "Unless we'll find information to the contrary in those writings, it appears that these foolish wizards already consigned their souls to hell. Such transactions are final; even if we were to release their souls from this Barbatos demon, they will only be consigned to another hell. If we'll discover that they were kidnapped into hell, now... well, we could inform their sodales. I don't see why I should journey to hell, or even yonder regio, to free their foolish souls. I owe them nothing."

"But we have little time to translate their scrolls. We have a curse to lift. The only immediate option seems to be to confront the child-demon, or wait for his mother. I say we do both - we wait the rest of the night for the mother to arrive. If she doesn't, we attack the child after dawn, when the power of the infernal is weaker."

OOC: Infernal auras increase by 1 point at night. So the aura will be lower past dawn. But, we'll be there in the vulnerable twilight, when the Parma needs to be renewed. A good time for the demoness mother to attack...

Also, being consigned to hell by Divine Judgment is considered irreversible, but demons can drag people into hell unjustly. If what happened here is the latter, then we can in principle reach in and pull them out. But that means fighting off the demons, surely, and this is a very, very dangerous enterprise.

So - I vote we stay here till morning, then try to subdue the demon-child and throw it into the regio.

"Will we able to stop her if she arrives at a time when the infernal power is stronger?" Thomas asks reluctant.

ooc: Voting to leave, kill the demon thing next day. Perhaps it is enough (by the letter, it is no longer bound after we killed it.

Ilshana scratches her nose. "Seeing as how we're dealing with Hell here, there may not be second chances to get things right. Lets grab all these writings and see what we can figure out tonight. Then we can come back during the day and finish the job."
