ARSENAL SNEAK PEEK #1: Disintegrator

Gun vs. undead

Since the Weapon uses Negative Energy, usign teh basic DnD/d20 rules, the undead would be healed for the damage, like inflict light wounds heals undead instead of hurting them, since it's negative energy, but that's just my view.

I will be picking this up for my Omega World campaign. I'm not real big on the anime-style cover, but the armor options have me chomping at the bit!

BTW Who are you trying to fool by including the word 'magical' :)

Shouldn't that be, "...via the Summon Chaos Spirits Inadequately Disguised as Small, Cute, Fuzzy Animals VIII Spell?"

I designed a 0-level spell called Summon Minor Nature's Ally; it's 0-level and has cats on the list. I also rearranged all Summon lists to take CRs into account. For more data go here: http://dungeondamage.keenspace.com/summon.html.

Now inadequately disguised chaos spirits I haven't seen stats for, so I don't want to add them to the tables until they see print. Plus I think they'd be on the Summon Monster lists, not Nature's Ally.

But what this has to do with pseudomagical firearms is beyond me, so I'll say I checked out their site and some associated artists and it looks COOL.

I just hope they have rules for mecha somewhere in that book.

If ARSENAL doesn't have any mecha, you won't have to wait long. I've heard that the next issue of Dungeon/Polyhedron will have d20 mecha rules!

you are correct sir!

undead, mecha

Undead: Yes, being a negative energy weapon, the disintegrator would have a very annoying effect on undead: it heals them by an amount equal to the damage roll.

Mecha: ARSENAL does not include any mecha, but the next Dungeon does, so don't miss it. Also, expect an announcement concerning Perpetrated Press' second book, which you might find to your liking.

"magical"

All the equipment in ARSENAL is technomagical. The premise of the book is that magic superseded science in technological development throughout history. Magical solutions to normal problems replaced scientific solutions. There are no light bulbs, for example, but continual flame "bulbs".

The book includes a lengthy discussion on this theory and rules for creating, dispelling, and utilizing the technomagical equipment.

As we near the release date, I will post more information on this.
