Found a FANTASTIC website today. A collection of rare manuscripts online of artwork from the past few centuries dealing with fantasy, weird tales etc. Check it out here

But, what really caught my eye was this pic:

Demon of the Second Class

Which comes from J.A.S. Collin de Plancy. Dictionnaire Infernal. Paris : E. Plon, 1863. Page 123.

Now, compare that to this pic from Tome of Magic:

The link works fine for me. The picture shown is extremely similar, pretty much the same exact creature done as a b&w pencil sketch.

Interesting indeed.
