There's something about the scale in the art from the Free League RPGs that I love. It reminds a bit of some of the scale things they did visually in the last three Star Wars movies, and also the second generation of the Hudson River school of American landscape painting. An example of which follows.

Let's see, from left to right:

• Reasonably dressed, stereotypical barefoot hobbit halfling. But he shaves his feet for some reason?
• Quite a bit of cleavage, but otherwise actually quite a bit of clothing. I'm kind of surprised.
• Okay, I'm going to wear armor but as a female I refuse to wear shirt, pants or underwear.

Elmore always had an interesting take on things.

In earlier editions, female characters had to compensate for lower max STR by wearing fewer clothes to reduce their encumbrance.
