Artifcers Missing in Eberron MMORPG?

They're unlikely to include PC artificers from the get-go, since they're not including crafting from the get-go. Like City of Heroes, they want to wait to get it right, apparently.

In fact, this is mentioned on the first page of the article, below the picture.

"One thing we know that is definitely out of the question, however, is crafting. Bad news for all you would-be artificers out there, for sure, but maybe not forever. Word from the team is that once they devise a fun way of implementing it into the game, they'll put it in. But as far as the retail release goes, it's definitely out."

I'm not particularly impressed with what I've read so far. and to top it off a lack of crafting in a fantasy mmorpg basically turns me away from the get go

Couldn't agree with you more. It'd feel something like if they released a LotR MMORPG without Hobbits or Orcs in it. It's an integral part of what makes that world unique.

Leaving Crafting, and thus a key 'flavor class', from the game's initial launch means it will join the ranks of MMORPGs that I just don't bother to even try for a 'free month'

Why not delay and get all the critical features in? Is it not better to make a good initial impression? Most MMORPG only lose players as time goes on, so it is best to keep as many as you can from the beginning.
