Ascetic style feats

I think the OP was referring to a generic way to construct (HR) feats like that.

note that we're now really in HR territory, so maybe this thread should be moved...

Herzog

I assumed that he was looking for existing feats because he posted in the Rules (not House Rules) forum. But you seem to have a pretty solid idea of how to house rule more ascetic feats.

How would you guys do a Bard/Swash 'Daring' feat? One of the other players in the D&D game I play in would love such a feat.

I don't think it's strictly necessary - just use Snowflake Wardance.

Well now I see that this probably does belong in house rules but I really wanted to make sure there weren't already rules for this, or possibly a source book that had gathered them together already. And also house rules make me uncomfortable. There fickle and they are never there when you need them.

When I first saw these combo feats it was almost the same feeling i got when I saw prestige classes. 'Cool Beans!' Wotc took an idea I wanted to use but had no real way of implementing without a bunch of house rules. These feats really help with character customization. It's probably what they had planned in the long run and only decided to really implement it in 4th edition char creation rules. Its probably the only reason im even ogling 4th edition.

Anyway enough ranting, thanx for the help guys. I might ask this question in the house rules section.

You're right. I do love these feats, but the bard does not get a lot of loving... and I think especially a multiclass class like the bard could have used many of those feats (e.g. for rogue and swashbuckler and scout) to make a somewhat neglected class shine with flavor and power.
