Ashin's Commission: The Great Escape!

*Eternity fires a sonic ray, and though it strikes true, the power dissipates.*

*Aglaia shakes her head.*

"Sorry, not going to work. Just give up, and I'll be merciful, I promise."

*Meanwhile, Zaeryl moves closer to the fight and draws his trusty club.*

*The construct that finished its opponent circles around to the opposite side from Hulgyr of the opponent near Hulgyr and Ironwolf--it isn't flanking yet, since Hulgyr is 10 feet away, but it could be soon. Additionally, it takes a needless extra step to be standing directly behind the Chevalier, provoking an Attack of Opportunity which the Chevalier takes, slashing at the Construct, which seems like it might hit the breaking point if it gets hit much more. Still, the new position of the construct prevents the Chevalier from retreating backwards from Hulgyr and requiring the orc to take an attack to approach. Plus, the construct's attack hits too. Meanwhile, the construct attacking the female Chevalier only hits once, but it does unusually high damage.*

(OOC: E3 has now taken 7, E2 has taken 40-4y, soon to be 40-5y)

*The female Chevalier backs away from the construct and casts a spell to heal herself, as the male advances a pace towards Hulgyr and attacks the orc, only hitting once thanks to Hulgyr's defensive posture.*

(OOC: Hulgyr takes 12, E2 recovers 16, so 24 - 5y damage to her now

Hulgyr and Ironwolf now)

Ironwolf struggles to bring his mind and body into alignment for a killing blow, but he remains mentally off balance.

Regain focus prior to attack (1d20+12=16) (fails)

His blow is accurate, although the lack of mental force makes it a fairly light blow.

Target Priority 1) Monster interfering with Eternity's efforts to get to Michael if in reach or 2)most wounded monster in reach (1d20+9=23, 3d6+7=13)

Cleave or AOO, if any (1d20+9=14, 3d6+7=20)

(Numbers above do not include situational benefits such as flanking)

*Ironwolf barely hits but doesn't seem to hurt his opponent, at least not significantly. Hulgyr, on the other hand, makes an absolutely vicious attack. The Chevalier is only lucky that he had been, up to that point, barely injured at all.*

(OOC: E3 has takes 36 - x)

*Aglaia heals herself and flies down lower on gossamer wings, twenty feet above the big battle taking place with Eternity, Ironwolf, Hulgyr, and the male Chevalier.*

(OOC: Aglaia recovers 29, so she's now taken 29 Damage

Eternity and Zaeryl)

ooc: is the battle shifting away from Michael at all? how possible is it for Eternity to get to him? both of her remaining pp are set aside for a single empathic transfer. Can she still use 1pp powers without expending anything?

(OOC: 1-PP powers still cost 1--minimum expenditure is 1. The battle is more-or-less still the same distance from Michael as before. The trouble is that the bad guys are closer to Michael than she is. She could get to him in one round if not for all the stuff in her way--now it will take two. It may or may not matter, but I forgot to mention that, since Michael's turn is now, he successfully stabilised this turn)

Eternity starts moving around the battlefield to try and get to Michael, she tries to keep her distance from all the non-flying bad guys.

*Eternity moves out and around towards Michael. Next round she'll reach him. Also, Michael manages to stabilise. Finally, Zaeryl moves into melee with the male Chevalier, provoking an attack of opportunity that misses. He then uses his club to aid Hulgyr's attacks (+2 to next round's attacks against that guy). Meanwhile, the constructs fight as well. The male Chevalier in the middle of the fight takes two very weak blows, and the female takes one stronger hit.*

*The female Chevalier, doing better now after healing herself, decides to take the risk, as she takes the attack from the construct in order to charge Ironwolf's exposed flanks. The construct misses her, but she is unable to connect with Ironwolf, thanks to the screen of force protecting the Psychic Warrior. The male chevalier hits Hulgyr again, continuing his assault of the mighty orc, as sharp claws tear into the orc's newly-restored flesh. From the psychic link she established while absorbing Hulgyr's pain, Eternity can almost physically feel the deep pain the orc is receiving, though it has no adverse effect on her.*

(OOC: Hulgyr takes 12 more.

E2 has 28 - 6y, E3 has 39 - x - y damage now

Hulgyr and Ironwolf's turns)

While Zaeryl distracts the male chevalier's defenses, Hulgyr hacks away with his greatsword with all his fury.

ooc:
attack 1: attack: 21 damage: 34 rolls are here
(power attack 7, +2 from Zaeryl's aid, +1 from aid spell)
attack 2: attack: 17 damage:35 rolls are here
(power attack 7, +2 from Zaeryl's aid, +1 from aid spell)

(OOC: You forgot flanking, I think. Flanking makes one of those a hit)

*Hulgyr strikes the chevalier hard. The strange man won't be able to stand much more of this kind of beating.*

(OOC: Damage is now 73 -2x - y

Ironwolf's turn)
