Ashin's Commission: The Great Escape!

(OOC: 15 feet, essentially the same distance as he is to Eternity (the difference is only the diagonal). Keep in mind that because of the Chevalier's extended claw, he has reach, and you need more than a 5-foot step to get to him. You could 5-foot step directly in front of Eternity--it is not allowed to attack of opportunity someone with a reach weapon if they have cover ;))

Since standing up requires a move action Hulgyr won't be able to reach him with an attck this round.
So he will indeed stand up and position himself between himself and Eternity (5'step) and spend his standard action on a Full Defense, expecting an incoming attack and retaliate the next round.

-edit: total defense is the correct technical term...

You mean with an attack of opportunity, right? Cover's only a +4 to AC.
(OOC: Yep, I meant the AoO--in case she wanted to retreat. Are you allowed to full defense in Rage? I've certainly never seen someone waste a Rage round that way, so I can't remember--it just seems wrong, but I don't think it is expressly forbidden)

While raging, a barbarian cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except for Balance, Escape Artist, Intimidate, and Ride), the Concentration skill, or any abilities that require patience or concentration, nor can he cast spells or activate magic items that require a command word, a spell trigger (such as a wand), or spell completion (such as a scroll) to function. He can use any feat he has except Combat Expertise, item creation feats, and metamagic feats.

Full defense seems OK.

It's not forbidden and yes, it seems strange but rage is not Frenzy.

Things forbidden are cha- dex and int-based skills (save a few), abilities that require "patience and concentration", activating magical items that require command words (and spell trigger or spell completion), combat expertise, item creation feats (why the hell would you want to do that?), metamagic feats and spellcasting.

*Hulgyr takes a defensive stance, though since he's still in a furious bloodthirsty rage, it is questionable as to how well-defended he will be compared to Ironwolf.*

*Aglaia looks back and forth between Ironwolf and the construct attacking her, deciding where best to use her last Dispel. She eventually decides that ridding herself of her flying assailant is the better option, since she's actually pretty badly hurt, and she's not regenerating, plus once the construct is gone, she's pretty much safe if she keeps flying. The construct fades away, completely dispelled.*

(OOC: Eternity and Zaeryl's turns)

With Michael still unaccessable, Eternity steps back from the fully active Hulgyr (and hopefully out of reach with a 5ft step). She then looks up at the flying demoness and launches a sonic energy ray.

occ: 5ft step out of reach, energy ray sonic for 3d6-3 dmg. hp: 4, pp: 2
