A quarry target isn't necessarily aware of it, since Hunter's Quarry isn't a power, it's just a designation by the Ranger. I'd allow it to be used on an unaware target secretly. The Curse I'm less sure of, though.

A quarry target isn't aware of it because it is not an effect on the quarry, nor a condition. It's a conditional damage bonus on the ranger, and not the result of a power.

Nor, by the way, does it target.

Contrast with Assassin's shroud, which IS a power AND targets.
