Astral Craft

Has anyone created variant rules for Astral Constructs that use the Craft skill? Something with a floating DC system that makes the Construct more or less powerful if you miss it or hit it is what I'm looking for.

I think this will make the power less likely to be used, but IMC, where there seem to be only two kinds of psions: Matrix-esque psionic warriors and Constructors, it would work.

I think it's a bad idea to make class abilities or spells dependant on skills... if anything, tie feats in to augment them. Otherwise, you make the character spend the skill points on that skill or else take another power.
