Atlantis: Second Age (The Arcanum of old)

How about reprinting the original books? I still play AD&D, as do many others, and if these books were readily available in their original form I would happily pick them up as I didn't get the opportunity the first time around.

A d20 version for the many d20 fans out there would be great too.

Go d20, but DEFINITELY stick to the two types of classes, with different XP advancement - this is something I've been working on for my own homebrew d20-based campaign, all because of Arcanum.

Seriously.

Morrigan - you have my email and my writing credits - if you want someone to work on these classes, drop me a line.

So ... I've got the monsters covered. The few that I didn't bother to convert to avoid overlaps with the Monster Manual would take me not much time at all to finish. I've also converted the races. HellHound here has the classes. I know someone who has worked on the spells.

If Scott/Morrigan wants to go d20, I think he won't have any problems!

This really IS excellent news!
Agreed! Though I have never played the game in its original incarnation, I am fascinated and enthralled with anything that has Atlantis in its title. I am looking forward to this with an open heart.

Uh oh....

I am afraid that if it isn't d20, I won't buy it. Sad but true. For fantasy, it is d20 for my group.

I suppose I could live with the Tal 4 system, but only because the Tal20 is out and I could convert. But maybe not. I can convert it now from D20

Why would one not do it in D20?

That post hurt.

If they don't go D20 with it, then I would much prefer that they just do an update of the original system. I don't like GURPS as much as those guys do like it. Not at all interested in HARP, either.

I'd love to work with them on it if they go D20. I'd buy it and love it if they updated the original system. No other option really holds much interest for me.

They'd be silly not to rely on your hard work and conversions DnDchick!

But then people do silly things!

Lets just cross our fingers.

That said, please feel free to continue posting about Atlantis and let us know what you hope to find in the new version. We have not yet settled on anything hard and fast so your commnets can still influence what we do with the game. For example, which system to you guys want to see? d20? Tal4 rules? GURPS? Class and levels or skill based? How many books? One big one like Tal4 or a few smaller ones? Etc, etc, etc.

I have the original atlas and bestiary (used AD&D for rules). I would like to see one big d20 book and one big Tal4 book.
