Which rules thread do you mean? The update I have shamefully been neglecting or another one?

Things should start slowing down for me I think in another day or two and then I will do my best to buckle down and get my YB act together. (Not to mention my storyhour which I have also neglected the last couple weeks)

And let me say... I am really open to handing over the YB GrandMaster Judgeship to someone else as I know I have not had the time to handle both it and YBA and I really would like to rewrite YBA at some point. Anyone have any thoughts of a fair, impartial player who is able to see both sides of the path issues and make fair changes? Perhaps if we got enough names we could put it to a vote.

I suggested a while ago also having a rotating YB Grandmaster judgeship but about that time everyone seemed to get really busy and the idea fell through. I am still open to doing that as well.

Well, I'll state that Kalanyr is a good candidate. He's a bit harsher than most people about 'balance', but at the same time he has a pretty good perspective on all of the paths and how things interact.

Also, Reiella is quite a good candidate, but I'm not sure if this kind of responsibility would be too much considering how little action Rei is involved in.

Darkwolf also has a good understanding, but to my knowledge he's had it very busy for the past few weeks...

And I'd love to see Sabaron as Grand Master, but theres that issue of his working and lack of time to really be involved.

When I was considering doing the events, there were more players, and I had wished for Meowth to finish up his tour as Yakuza and Fighter before starting my attempts at that.

Course, that still has yet to happen due to my punching bag being the first to Tier 7 :P.

I would personally like to see the Master Judge council take a more active role and possibly replace the role of Grandmaster. Less we revert to a system with a more open ended nature like YB1.

creamsteak posted most of the possibilties I can think of.

There is of course MidKnight but he's far too busy I would think.

I would also nominate GrayDoom but he hasn't played or judged YB! in almost a year, so I suppose he wouldn't be interested, I also seem to recall he's rather busy with stuff.

The council idea is interesting but as the YB2 Rules Revision Commitee showed it does have some flaws but if you could actually get the council together in chat it could work rather well.

I'm honored that you still would even think to consider me.

Unfortunately you are quite correct - I have zero time to handle such a position. I am finding that being a single parent of two is a rather time consuming task (even during the times that I don't have my kids).

Bumping, and a quick heads up.

I just put up a primary revision on the web-gen to include Double-Insults (Dark) and also did a quick 'update' on the rules section, one note however is the comments on Arena Fighter are currently not the rules (I just wrote it in as such until that issue is officially resolved :P).

I do also know the rules page is hard to read at the top due to the colors.

Just doing a few quick updates on the web-gen and updated my home copy of the rules doc :P.

[ See I'm trying to bump while seeming like I'm not ]

Just noticed something that seriously hinders the results of some fun player run events (Rathan's Tourny, specifically).

Furthermore, if an item is given away, its powers become temporary.

The first place prize isn't too valuable then (and in my case, I kinda wanted to give it away to someoen else anyway since it's worthless to me regardless).

Wondering if possible for this to be brought up for consideration/debate/discussion/revolution/decapitation/whatever :).

Life does not seem to be slowing down quite as fast as I wanted and for the last few weeks I have only been getting on the internet about 3-4 times a week which hampers YB activity a little.

I really know that I need to hand over (push off) the YB responsibilities to another. Having asked who would be able to do it, perhaps a better question is who wants to do it? If more than 1 master judge wants the job maybe we can throw it up for an election. But I would hate to give the job to someone who does not want it.
