Augment Healing and Vigor

HS is right, the spell grants the ability and the ability is what is doing the healing.

But even if the spell does heat, it only will heal and additional 2hp per spell level. the lesser one would do 1 point a round, with an additional 2 at the time the spell is cast. Not 3 a round.

Thanks for all of the replies. I think the best way to go about this for balance reasons is to follow Pinotages suggestion of increasing the duration. No matter if we disagree on whether or not augment healing applies to the vigor line of spells, we can all agree that if it did, it would be overpowered if you benefited from it every round. I don't really like the application of the feat upon casting for reasons I've already mentioned. I think I would houserule the feat to the following:

Augment Healing - increases the damage healed by 2 hp/level of any Conjuration(healing) spell with an instantenous effect that specifically heals hit points (in addition to any other possible effects). As a secondary effect this feat applies to any Conjuration (healing) spell with a non-zero duration by extending that duration a number of rounds equal to 2/level of the spell.

Ya, if you want to extend the duration of a spell one uses extend...rewriting the feat to include things it did not include in the first place is really not the way to go.
