Augment Healing + Mass Lesser Vigor

Augment Healing does not interact with the Vigor spells at all since the Vigor spells do not heal damage. Instead the Vigor spells give the target the Fast Healing ability.

That is irrelevant. Augment Healing doesn't say that the spell needs to heal damage, it says it needs to be a conjuration (healing) spell. The vigor spells are conjuration (healing) spells. So augment healing applies.

Why would you think otherwise? Even the FAQ has it right :)

The feat says to add 2 points per spell level to the amount of damage healed by any Conjuration [Healing] spell that you cast. It does not say that the feat heals 2 points of damage per spell level of the spell.

The Vigor spells do not heal damage so there is nothing to add 2 to.

I guess I would have said the vigor spells heal zero damage, and I can indeed add two to that.

But thank you, at least I now understand the point of the discussion.

There is nothing similar between those two things though.

They are both indirect, though you refuse to acknowledge it and that is why you see no similarity.

You seriously cannot see a difference between "this spell grants fast healing X" and "this spell cures you of X hit points?"

It is the fast healing that is curing you, not the spell. That the fast healing comes from the spell is indisputable, but the spell is not directly acting to heal you.

If I give Peter 5 gp to pay Paul, and Paul then pays you 5 gp, have I given you 5 gp directly? No. I've merely enabled a series of events that resulted in your being paid 5 gp.

So in your opinion, does an Augmented Remove Paralysis cure 4hp, and an Augmented Remove Blindness cure 6hp?

I'm personally of the opinion that Augment Healing does nothing for Vigor or for Remove Paralysis, but I'm content with a DM ruling that it affects both Vigor and Remove Paralysis.

What I object to is the ruling that if affects Vigor, but does nothing for Remove Paralysis, because I find that inconsistent.

Augmented Healing affects all Conjuration [Healing] spells.

But I also allow paladins a Remove Affliction ability instead of their fantastic Remove Disease, so they get to replicate the following spells, Cure Serious Wounds, Daylight, Lesser Restoration, Remove Blindness/Deafness, Remove Curse, Remove Disease, Remove Fear, or Remove Paralysis.

Yes

I don't have a problem with a DM ruling this way because it doesn't fit the intent or "feel" of the feat, so long as they admit the wording doesn't support it.

I agree, it should affect both

Vigor spells heal damage. Denying that they directly heal damage is tortured semantics.

Even if you pretend the amount of damage healed by the spell is zero, that is still a number that can be added to.

It does not say that the feat heals 2 points of damage per spell level of the spell.

The Vigor spells do not heal damage so there is nothing to add 2 to.

Whatever. Of course they heal damage.
