Very glad to hear that your gameday out west went well! Out here in Chicago we've been havin fun for... jeeze I think 5 gamedays now. Hopefully you'll always have big, fun, and successful gamedays! :)

Tsunami, you should really check out the boards at www.creativemountaingames.com and post some of your thoughts on the Whispering Woodwind there--I ran the adventure myself and would be curious to hear what your thoughts on it were. :)

I had a great time! I had planned on being a runner if anyone needed anything, but I got to play in one of the morning/afternoon games: Hack Master. Thank you to Mojojoe, LoBall and his sons, Byte Me, Bloodymage, and USGrant for inviting me to play. I had never played HM before, and I REALLY liked it! Owen even lived until the end! I had some great conversations with garyh and bloodymage at breakfast and then again at Great Escape. I wish Reaper and I hadn't had to leave for parental duties, but at least we were able to come play one game each and Reap got to play our friend's Monster Island demo. Congrats to the guy who played the Alien (my favorite character)!!!

Anyway, here's to looking forward to another Sac game day soon! :)

Wow, i'm a little late posting here, but work has been a bear (oh, did i say bear, i mean bore) and other things have kept me occupied. Reaper-ahh, so that's brocken, interesting. I've never seen him before. For being my first gameday it was great fun. Tsunami-you ran a cool campaign, lots of fun. reaper-very cool roleplaying, good accent. mistergone-you're just fun to be in game with. aereon and gunslinger-i always play with you two..so..ya ;) Great Escape games is dangerous! i dropped about $85 while i was there, and didn't even buy what i intended to buy (3.5 Monster Man.) I just wish we lived closer so we could go there, even though Sacramento hates gunslinger, aereon and I. It was great meeting you all, even though I'm not a regular on this board, and i look forward to the next gameday.
*plays the mysterious flute*

oh, and btw, i've never rolled that well in my life, and i probably never will again. the last couple games i played i rolled terribly (like usual). one climb check i did 4 times yielded a 5, 3, 2 and 7

choice game moments-
Interogating the farmer in the field at midnight during a storm.
3 of us getting near critical Gather Information checks on the farmer while riding horses.
Aereon's "Are you bandits?" then bluffing them into thinking we were sent from commander....for a short while at least.
Reaper's and Mistergone's teamwork on the roof to kill the boss.
Reaper's horse of enemy crushing (damn that thing got good rolls).
Mistergone's father's father's sword (of diplomacy with horse renters)
The fall of scout *sob*
Kents.
and the flute we never found out about.

i can't remember any more. that weekend is one massive blur for me. (Aereon was playing after being awake for 30 hours, i was on my 30th hour with only 2 hours sleep, and gunslinger with only 5 hours sleep.)

I agree with reaper. there should be more to that module. like, why did the bandits attack? what did the flute do? why was everyone looking for kents?

WORLD HEROES! I remember that game! I didn't like it too much, but I do remember the fact that there was a strange wrestler who would say "Number one!" when he won, a Russian guy named Rasputin, and mines on the ground of some stages.

Erm...yes. Just thought I'd point that out. :)

Yeah, there were quite a few high rolls to be had that day : "I rolled a.... 23" was not an uncommon thing to hear. :)

However, when it came down to blood, my D20 woke up, eh? ;)

A memory of Tsunami's game: never bring a sling to a sword-fight. :D
"They never learn."

The wrestler in World Heroes was called Muscle Power - a total Hulk Hogan rip off.

I liked Rasputin in that game - but then, I'm an old-school fighting game fan.
