The Game Day was a great success. Mark, if you want to reward everyone who played in your CMG module, you'll need to get a hold of Tsunami and find out who was actually in it. I doubt you'll be able to get an electronic connection to all of them.
Breakfast at Denny's was great fun, though I think we'll choose another restaraunt next year. They weren't set up to handle a sizable group. We had two tables and two booths. Still, great fun and our waiter, Jerhico, was great. I was late. I rode with USGrant on the two hour drive and I had the embarrasment of making him turn around a half an hour into our trip to retrieve the module I'd forgotten.
Great Escapes is a great games shop with a fantastic gaming room. Our afternoon games both ran a bit over, so everyone had to stuff dinner down. The evening games started and Melan's (of Dragonsfoot) Temple had seven players. I ended up with two for the Lost Caverns! A couple dropped out, one never showed and two I had recruited during the day had parenting duties come up. So, I stole a couple of players from loball (Temple's DM) and gained a couple of converts in the process! Pebby, at the end of the game, who'd been playing 3e about a year, said he'd never played with a heartless DM before.

"That's a compliment," he was quick to add. Lots of laughing, lots of fun.
There was an "MVP" selected by the players at each table. Whispering Woodwind produced Rossco999, who was awarded a $30 gift certificate from The Gamer's Bag. Graveyard Shift had Lucky, loball's 10-year old son, who wowed everyone with his savvy roleplaying. He selected $20 worth of gaming stuff from mistergone's private collection. The Temple's MVP was garyh, who went home with a $15 gift certificate from The Harlequin, my FLGS. Finally, ByteMe also got a $20 selection from mistergone's collection for his play in Lost Caverns.
So, thanks are in order to Tsunami who was the major organizer, Paladin and Paladinwife of The Gamer's Bag, Larry and Bob of The Harlequin Games and mistergone for providing prizes, Mark of CMG for providing support and his module, Whispering Woodwind. Thanks also to loball for running The Temple of Pazuzu (and bringing his great kids!) and HackJoe for writing and running Graveyard Shift. Credit goes to reapersaurus for arranging our venues in Sacramento. We even had a cool logo designed by garyh! Thanks to Great Escapes for having us and being a great place to play. Finally, a big thank you to all who signed up and showed up to have a fantastic day of gaming!
I had a blast meeting and gaming with everyone. Until next year, then...
