Thanks in advance

There was mention of it in a Living Greyhawk module: Admist the Mists and Coldest Frosts.

However, I don't believe they gave any sort of information on it in the module.

You know, this always annoyed me.

The aurumvorax, the vegepygmies, the tri-flower frond, the froghemoth, the webbirds, and all sorts of other creatures were published in S3: Expedition to the Barrier Peaks.

In other words, they're from a freakin' other planet. Several other planets, in fact.

To my mind, this made them unique creatures - not ones found in the default Greyhawk/FR planetary ecosystem. But nooooooo... TSR just had to dump them in the MMII.

I know you're allowed to do whatever you want with your own campaign - but I wanted to get this off my chest. Especially if anyone else out there agreed with me.

That's true of tons of monsters, though. The first appearance of the Galeb-Duhr was on one of Greyhawk's moons. I find that when I've managed to locate the original appearances of certain monsters that it's become massively more clear to me how to use them...

Then again, there's nothing to say that the Barrier Peaks monsters didn't escape and establish themselves on a new planet, like a kind of interplanetary kudzu.
