Austin Games Day-January 24, 2004--Calling all GMs and players

I also might be bringing some board games along to play and let be played.

We will have to see if we can't wrestle up some more GMs :)

Some games from our collection that would be fun for quick games:
Blokus-board game, four players, one game usually less than an hour- is tetris meets strategy game.

Nobody but us chickens -card game, can't remember max # of players, 8, I think, and a game is usually less than 30 min.- is also fun. Try to get the most points by garnering the plump chickens through bravery or chicanery.

I can't remember the specific name of the card games or the company that puts them out, but the zombie body snatchers from outerspace/kung-fu sameri card games are really fun (where you make the names of "movies" from the cards and try to kill the "cast members" of other people's movies).

Well, yeah. But I don't want to run. I'm going strictly PC for the day, durn it! ;)

I could be persuaded to run something. Strict 3.5 Core though. Likely need to get characters up front so that I can put something together. I don't like pre-generated characters.

play "kingdoms" but don't play with will. he is a monster at that game.

well, maybe play with him, then kick him out once you have the game down pat :)

Strict 3.5 core is absolutely, totally fine with me. You give me any class/race/alignment restrictions you want, a starting level, and any cultural info I need to have, and I'll have you a character posthaste. :)

(Or would that be a hasty post, under the circumstances? ;))

Garmorn, let me know what slot you want to run stargate and I'll put you down.

If any other publishers want to throw in some prizes, chime in and I'll list it under support pushlishers on the first post.

Dragon's Lair is comfortable with 3 games at each session. Other than that, let the sign-up begin.

"If you run it, they will come"

Yes I want a Slot, but will take what you have left. Just let me know. I know that my wife will set in on the game. Since few people seems to have the books I will provide Characters. (Makes it easier to run.:))

I play games with Anye, the publisher of Chickens, every week. I forgot to mention Austin to her tonight, but since she goes down every weekend to visit her husband, I bet she'd show up with the game! :)

Just finished the two towers extended edition--excellent.

Now, D20books- just tell me when and how many players and I will include all that info in the game description. You can give me the "name" and description and character level when you know exactly what you want to run.

Garmon-Since you seem cool on either time, I'm going to stick your game in the morning to flesh out the schedule. Stargate game with pregen characters, right? I'll start you with 6 players. Let me know if that number is too high or too low.

Alsih2o-Note to self, "don't let Wil kick my ass playing kingdoms...."

Wil-I'd love to meet Anye. Anyone that puts a chicken game out is OK by me.

- "Tell me why we go down into the dark again?"
- Slot 2
- Greyhawk-lite (NOT RPGA).
- Level 6 characters.
- No prestige classes
- Double Multi-class only if you must (no Bar/Rog/Wiz, which is a triple multi-class)
- 12000gp for starting equipment, can't hold more than 500gp.
- Equipment must be straight magic bonuses (no special abilities) or wondrous items and magic items from the DMG. No "built" magic items.
- Standard Dungeon Crawl.
- Non-Evil alignment. Any mix of Good, Neutral, Neutral, Lawful, and Chaotic is fine.
- Straight progression for magic users for spells and spellbooks. Edit - DM will pass out more spellbook slots to Wizards after seeing characters
- Eight Players MAX. First eight to email me with their character concept gets in.
- Class mix is two max of Clerics, Fighters, Rogues and Wizards and only one Barbarian, Bard, Druid, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, and Sorcerer, up to the max eight players. Multi-classers take up two of the slots listed.

Put it all together and EMAIL (see email button below) me your sheet, either as a scan on an actual DnD character sheet, or as an HTML (PCGen) output, or some other application output in a universal format (pdf txt html).

Don't assume that everything else goes if I didn't mention it. I just didn't think of it :) If you want to use a race with an ECL, contact me. I might allow some +1 and +2 races, but not more.

Just a note, I'm a very lax DM. I'll let you argue a rules point but once I make a final decision, it stands. Since we are trying to get a full adventure in in one evening, we have to move quick :)
