Austin, TX Game Day

Worth considering. There seems to be a respectable number of Austinites on the boards.

I'd be a big maybe on attending, though, due to a funky work schedule that isn't terribly compatible with weekends.

Well,
Depending on when and where, I could probably make the drive from San Antonio.

I can probably convince Bill and Clark to provide some Necromancer Games products for prizes or something as well.

Mystic Eye Games is based in Austin, so I am sure they'll be willing to cough up a few prizes, maybe even help sponser some events.

If you do decide to go forward with plans for an Austin game day, you might want to check into whether or not there is some sort of "mini-con" during the year there. I know that there are smaller cons in some areas. Rice has "Owl-Con" and the aggies have a con, er, I thought the longhorns did as well, but could be wrong.

I would also suggest contacting Reaper in the Dallas area. They are usually happy to help out with local cons and game days.

Gotta go.

Depending on the day, me and most of my gaming group might be able to make it.

Hero Clix is real big with some of them, so I’m sure they would want to play that (and D&D, board games, ect..). One of them is a judge and does tournaments at Thors Hammer, maybe he could organize that, since he gets prizes and stuff from Wizkids.

We also have 2 guys who drive down from SA to game with us, I bet they would show as well.

Hell, I might stop by for a few games if it takes place after the 11th of November :) I live about 45 minutes north of Austin and we usually go down there to buy gaming stuff anyway.

I'd love to be a part of this... the drive from Houston isn't very hefty.

My only problem is my class/finals schedule. If it happened during January, I'd be all for it.

I can probably manage to be there, depending on what day it is...been jealous of everyone else's Game Day's, so I'd love to have an Austin game day.
