average game session

El Seso

First Post
I'm sure this has been beat to death, but I can't search the previous threads...
But I'm pretty torqued at one of my fellow players.. He's refusing to play Saturday night because he's thinks it's a waste of his time to play only a four and a half to five hour session.
So based on that, what is the average time you ladies and gentlemen run a game. We keep a pretty regular once every two week schedule.

Thanks!!!

Well, in Wizards big survey before d20 came out they reported that the average session is about 4 hours.

My groups gets together on Sundays and we play for about 6 hours, sometimes longer.

My game: about every 3 weeks, about 4-5 hours each game.

I play in other games:

one about every two-three weeks for about 3-1/2 hours per game

one about every month, 6-7 hours per game

At my age I don't think I would be able to play in a weekly game, nor could I do that longer game more than about once a month.

Average time per session: 4-6 hours.

Average time between sessions: 1/week when everyone had the same schedule, 2/month now that no one has the same schedule. ;)

One of our players drives 3.5 hours each way for a 6 hour session, twice a month. He certainly doesn't think it's a waste of time. :D

Thanks all. We usually play for six to seven hours, but some other things have come up that prevent us from playing our normal session.

And Bret - you've got my name! Only with one 't'!

coolio-io.
