avoiding the b word

I sort of need a day like this to prove I can take a day off. Oh, it'll be hard, so terribly hard. You know the trolls will come out to play that day. We'll see threads entitled:

D20 blows goats.

Dungeons and Dragons is Satan's Tool

Gygax Ate my Baby

and many, many more. I know if I can get through "EN World's First Annual Flame Free Day" I can bite my tongue more often. Of course I may chew through it... I'm game!

This is the stupidest idea I've EVER heard of! EVER!

;)

Just getting rid of my pent up angst in preparation for a welcomed day of non-complaining.

:D (Great idea by the way.)

If I couldn't complain I'd shrivel up and die, but I usually don't like to complain in vain on the boards. It's usually pointless to me anyway, and I don't see why we need the day when people are just expressing things with thier personalities. Why just be nice on Christmas? Be nice all year 'round.

i recentl returned form a few weeks in england, and you knwo what? those people roll peas onto the back of their fork to eat them, it was really odd BUT I STILL EAT PEAS!

We eat peas on the back of our forks in England? That's news to me... :p

I'm in. I'd complain about all the complaints I usually see, but that wouldn't be appropriate, would it?

So which day? And what do we call it?

I thought you were talking about "Broken" now that would have been a good thing. Why do you tease us so?

This idea is the worst one yet... :D

I'm in. Of course, I keep my mouth shut enough around here that I could just say nothing that day.

How would everyone know that it is in effect? I know we have the frontpage and the annoucement function but not everyone will see those. I guess many folks would put it in their sig but would that be enough?

I think the .sig idea is a good one. Once a day is decided upon, a .sig can be created to be used by everyone who supports it. This will reach far more people than the front page, as apparently many come to the boards directly, or don't pay much attention to the news page. Of course, how many read the boards with .sigs disabled?
