Aw, crap...

the Jester

Legend
My apartment is flooded thanks to stupid upstairs neighbors who overflowed their bathtub for a couple of days when I wasn't here... we're supposed to game tomorrow and now my bed, etc is all in my living room for another day while they rip up my carpet and dry my pad out...

Aargh!

I guess we'll just play at someone else's house... sigh... just venting...

I'd be complaining up a storm if that happened to me. I feel for you hopefully, someone else will be able to host. Or you can all climb on you bed and play there. :)

Please tell us your gaming books made it through safe!

I lost 500+ comic books about 4 years ago when my basement apartment flooded. I was mad and depressed at the same time for a week :(

Hope nothing irreplaceable was damaged.

Sorry to hear about the problems. Odd configuration of apartments, though. Are you sure that they didn't have a waterbed leak? Some leases don't allow those and they may not be willing to admit the actual truth. Most apartments are architecturally designed so that plumbing/gas and electric feeds are easily installed, I.E. Bathrooms over bathrooms, kitchens over kitchens, laundry over laundry (220 appliances over same) etc. Bedrooms are usually under another bedroom... *shrug*

after such an event, i find it best to dress up in a ski mask and grab a big styrofoam / squishy sponge bat and run upstairs and beat the :):):):) out of the person/persons upstairs :P i bet ya wont be angry afterwards... :)

In case Doc isn't joking (I'm rather humor impaired, so I've been told... need them emoticons :) )....

I think he said that his bed and everything is all in the front room, and his carpet in the bedroom is being ripped up. So, there's probably no room to move around.

Thanks for the well-wishing all...

Mark, the bathtub was above my bathroom but the overflow seeped down through my ceiling and walls and spread into the carpet from there. I came home after being gone for almost two days to squishy flooring.

Fortunately all my gaming books live in the front room.

Sigh... and it's not all put back together yet, maybe it'll happen before game time but if not others have offered to host it so at least the game will go on.

Tallyho!
