"Award Winning" Story Hours

I'd like to read a couple of the story hours in the other forum to get some good ideas, and have some fun reading about a great D&D game....the problem is, there are SO many that I don't know where to start.

Anyone here have any D&D favorites they can reccommend (you know, the ones that are award winning, that blow your socks off, that say: "This is D&D how it should be played, this is MY story!")?

Thanks.

let the pimp flood commence!

:p

there are some great stories here. many addicts will be by shortly to explain why they love what they love...

on the d&d front, nothing can beat sepulchrave and destan. and johnrog1's FR campaign is excellent too.

for d20 modern[ish] stuff, check out johnrog1 [darkmatter d20 & pulp story hours] and old drew id [medallions].

Sep's story hour should be published. It is that good. Very religious. Even some min-maxing going on.

Wulf Ratbane's story hour will make you laugh. Uncontrollably.

I like several others, including PirateCat's, Dr. Midnight's, and the Unusual Heroes.

Piratecat's story hour is a fantastic example of high-level, nigh epic-level, dnd adventure. It's the one that got me started on story hours in general (I've since written six threads of story hours myself, three of which are currently ongoing and frequently updated). Unbelievably good.

Sepulchrave's story hours (check out Cheironmancer's compiled sepulchrave story hour thread for a great way to avoid all the bumps in the various threads that follow the campaign) reads like great literature, not a dnd game. It... it...

It's deep. It's not light reading. It's awe-inspiring. I wish my players were deep enough into the game to do what his players do.

Those are the two that I dig more than any others; but I've read bits of many others and really dug 'em all. But those two take the cake and eat it too.

And now all the Storyhour authors read this thread eagerly, hoping someone will love them enough to mention their name.

Oh, is that just me?

Well, anyway, in hindsight I realize that my writing style for Savannah Knights is sloppy. I just need time to do something new. . . .
