Awesome Blow and AoO?

Hi, I have a question regarding Awesome Blow.

When a creature with reach makes an Awesome Blow against a foe in an adjacent square and sends it flying 10 feet away, does this unvoluntary movement trigger attacks of opportunity?

Sounds a bit weird to me that a huge monster walks up to the fighter, awesome blows him into the air and volleys him again for leaving a threatened square twice.
IIRC there's a monster in the MMIII that uses exactly that tactic.

I would say yes the movement provokes attacks of opportunity, but I would also say that the Awesome Blow guy doesn't get one himself. By the rules, he probably should, but it just seems silly to me.

Note that in any case, it's one attack of opportunity per movement, regardless of how much reach and/or combat reflexes you have, so huge creatures are not getting two AoO here, however you rule it.

I have plans for the PCs and 2 huge earth elementals, each with Awesome Blow. I'm going to call it "PC table Tennis". I figure I'll get at least 2 "volleys" per round between them. :)

Just use Knockback from Races of Stone, it's much more effective if you like to play table tennis. Especially if you add some Combat Reflexes for additional AoO's. ;)
