Awesome Spell Combos

How about a little tag team fun?

Wizard delays so the he goes immediately after cleric. Cleric casts a delayed blade barrier at a group of bad guys. The wizard then use a sphere wall of force to trap them inside of it.

Rock to Mud.

Reverse Gravity. Wait until targets, mud are all intermixed at the max vertical range of the RG.

Drop RG, allow targets/mud to come crashing to earth in newly formed crater that was made when you made that mud..

Mud to Rock.

Prismatic Wall + Bigby's Forceful Hand.

Victims have to suffer all spell effects, should they get Bull Rushed. Have the Hand itself stop just in front of the Wall so it doesn't get annhilated (of course, this scheme can be tried by any Bull Rush).

Reverse Gravity + Prismatic Wall.

Similar idea. Cast Reverse Gravity, then cast Prismatic Wall on the ground- being weightless, it does not fly into the air. Cancel the Reverse Gravity. For added entertainment, have more than one wall.

Cloudkill + Forcecage (+ Dimensional Anchor)

I ruled that the hemispherical Wall of Force cannot be used to trap people: it is powerful enough as a defense spell! However, the trick can be played with Forcecage. Variants can be used with Acid Fog, Incendiary Cloud etc.

Teleportation Circle + Bigby's Forceful Hand.

The bottom of the ocean is a good destination. What's the water pressure down there?

Mind Fog + Chained (enchantment spell)

Since the Chained Spell will have an abysmal DC, then kick off with a Mind Fog.

Power Word: Stun (or Otto's Irresistable Dance) + Blade Barrier.

Mincemeat.

For the grand finale...

Chained Maze (using Rod of Greater Chaining [T&B]) + Dimensional Lock (T&B) + Blade Barrier (lots) + Forcecage.

When the victims return from the Maze, they are trapped with no recourse to get out. Instant death, no save, en masse, no hit point cap.

Magic Mouth, Silent Image & Sleep.

This needs to be done somewhere that the scenario seems innocuous like a house or an inn.

A guy is sitting at a table drinking some tea... Soon as the person sits down in the other chair sleep is cast on them.

See how powerful the strategic 3rd level wizard can be?

I may be missing something but wouldn't it be much easier just to cast sleep first and avoid the set up?

The way I see this set-up is that the victim approaching the silent image will see the silent image vanish the moment the wizard begins to cast sleep (silent image ends immediately when concentration).

Personally, I've always liked the combo of Ventriliquism (sp?) and Invisibility...

Simply throw the voice away from any listeners and it's a great way to cast buffs and other non-offensive spells without anyone hearing the caster :).

Druid:
Entangle + Summon Swarm. Getting chewed to death by bats sucks.

Wiz/sorc:
Charm Monster + Polymorph Other = adoring puppy or kitten. Just make sure to recast Charm Monster every few days.
