D&D 5E Awesomest D&D Experience Ever!

I am considering it. I'm just not sure it's worth losing the aura range improvement at 18th level. My paladin's something of a defender, and I'm sure the rest of my party would love being able to get my immunity to fear, +5 to all saves, and resistance to spell damage while within 30 feet of me instead of 10 feet.

Honestly that would probably be the better choice for the party. I have an Ancients Paladin at my table, and that feature was frustrating when I first ran up against it. Dropped a lightning bolt and flame strike on most of the party and they were hardly scratched. Thankfully the paladin has an 8 charisma, so the bonus is +1 instead of +5. So the

Eventually I learned how to incorporate it into the story. During gladiator matches, the group would huddle around the paladin at the beginning to minimize damage from AoE spells, much to the audience's amusement. In a following fight, an enemy mage used maze to remove the paladin from combat. Suddenly the group was huddled without their paladin aura. :devil:
