BTW, the turrets rotate, and most of the guns can elevate a bit.

Yeah, that feature took me by surprise. Now I can sit at my desk and play with tiny tanks.

I really need fewer distractions at my desk. As if the internet wasn't a big enough distraction . . .

And don't forget that the first expansion is coming in December. More tanks!!!!

More Russkies!!!!

Right now the only really viable forces are the Germans and American/British mix*. It'll be nice to have another valid basic army. Currently, the Russians and Japanese are too rare and too underfeatured.

*Currently, opinion has it that one of the best forces is 4 Shermans and two Humblers. The enemy will usually gain initiative, but if they let you move first, you use strike and fade and if they go first, you get better positioning with the tanks. It works because the Shermans are good against both vehicles and soldiers and fairly cheap.

FYI

They are supposed to be 15mm, but they are smaller, closer to 12mm. A pity really, as a Flames of War player ai was hoping to use them to encourage kids to play flames.

Shame (can't believe that Hasbro messed up)

Question.

Are these a separate minis game or designed for use with the new AA series of board games?

This is a separate miniature game that has nothing to do with the other Axis and Allies board games. It is most similar to the old Avalon Hill game of Squad Leader. It is a small unit tactics game where each vehicle represents a single vehicle and each soldier piece represents a squad or small team on a hex map where hexes are about 100m wide. it is very simple and a full basic game takes about an hour to play from set up to tear down.

Thanks! Sounds pretty cool...
