BAB over 20?s

What happens if you get a BAB over 20. I don't have ELH, I've onyl read a bit form my friends copy so I don't know but I assume it covers this.

For example elts say you wave a wizard/DoFprestige classthat improves spelcasting and gioves +7 bab 10/10. so you cast spells a s awizard 20, and yet have a BAB of 12. You cast tensers transformation and end up with a 22 BAB.

Do you get 5 attacks, is your BAB mystically limted to 20 what?

I just shudder to think waht could happen if a DM considered the +1 BAB per two levels part of tensers a variable numeric for the purpose of empower like the +1 in magic missile is. especially with that metamgic is cheaper now feat. I cast tripple empowered tensers transformation and I get a +25 to my bab, +20 str and +175 hp.

You're always limited to four attacks by BAB, according to the ELH.

But you can always haste yourself or whatever before casting Tenser's transformation for extra oomph...

Your BAB isn't limited to <= 20, but your number of normal attacks cannot excede 4.

Any DM that considers a +1 per 2 levels to be a variable, numeric effect is an idiot (at least for working with Empower), so I don't see that being a huge problem.

Precision:

You are limited to the number of attacks you had at 20th level. Not 4.

If you're a wizard, at 20th level, you have 2 attacks. You'll always have 2 attacks no matter how high your BAB is.

Rogue has 3 at 20th, so 3 it is, forever.

After the 20th level, your BAB raise by +1 at every two level. And you never gain new attacks afterwards.

so does that mean a wiz 20 casting tensers and gaining a 20 bab has 2 or 4 attacks throguh bab. Basically does the spell circumvent this waht you have at level 20 cap.

The increased BAB would result in more iterative attacks (the restrictions on Base Attack Progression are only for level advancement in epic levels).

However, unlike Mister Solar "I get 5 attacks nyah nyah", you end up capped at 4 attacks (using the guidelines in the ELH anyway).

Out of curiosity, exactly why is the Solar given exception to the 4 Attack/Rnd limit? Besides being a Solar.

Because the MM was published long before the ELH.

I believe that D&DG (Might be ELH) says that BAB derived from monster HD is all BAB and not EAB. That is a 30 HD outsider has a BAB of 30 and not a BAB of 20 with a EAB of 5. However even with a BAB of 30 you cannot have more than 4 attacks(5 for monk).
