All girls deserve to be "babes" of gencon, period.

Well, I don't know. I recall Sean Reynolds saying at some point that his pictures were taken in a "Hey! A Pretty girl!" frame of mind.

While all of these are female, a great many of them don't fall into the "Hey! A Pretty girl!" category.

Tastes differ of course, and you may well have been struck breathless by the beauty of every last one of them, I don't think that All girls deserve to be anything (and to quote Cint Eastwood in Unforgiven, ""'deserve' ain't got nothing to do with it"


It's like saying "All guys deserve to be Calvin Klein Models" or "All guys deserve to be Members of the Denver Broncos"...you don't just get to be these things...you get them by meeting certain criteria.

The "Babes of Gencon" thing was (I think) supposed to be aimed at A) Hot chicks or B) Cool Costumes.

I don't think average girls in casual clothing is it.

But there's no need to be insulted Arthur, this is your project , not mine. all of the preceding stuf is IMO, YMMV ETC.

If you dont like that I'm sure I can locate a strip club for you where you can pay the strippers to wear chainmail or tavern wench clothes.

I think intelligence, creativity, & individuallity are some of the biggest components to being a "babe". Although beauty is definetely a big part of it, I don't view it as the most important, & although gaming is not neccessarily innately tied to being creative & intelligent, gamers are usually reasonably close to being those things.

At the very least a smile! Most of these girls are just staring blankly at the camera. I am all for differing types of beauty, but few of these are showing it. Next time, tell a joke or something before you click the camera. A smile would do wonders to brighten up most of those photos.

I don't, I think those qualites make for a good, well-rounded human being.

The term "Babe" has usually been taken to mean someone physically attractive.

Call your selection of photgraphs of girls with nice personalities, girls who are creative and girls who maintain their individuality whatever you want...the term "Babe" already has meaning attached to it.

I wouldn't hand out "Smartest Person at Gen Con" to someone unless they were verifiably smart.

Piratecat gets his "Best DM in the RPGA" title by running games that are better than others.

The "Babes of Gen Con" should be, well....Babes.

And don't get me wrong, there are plenty in Arthur's collection.

I'm just not sure why everyone gets to be 'Hot', just by virtue of showing up at a Con
