Ring: "Then why did we bring her here? She seems like a nice enough person that I could easily become friends with, but I would choose a different way to get to know someone."

Ring: "We asked her here to determine whether or not Archonus was her child's father, L'Aurel. The fact that that was even a possibility would make her being the nursemaid...awkward at best."

I was confused as well as you can see above, since I basically read the entire first portion of the convo happening ending with Xath leaving the room to get Dara :) But to try and find out why exactly we were still bringing her in L'Aurel tried to ask some questions first, but Xath scurried a little fast and returned even faster.... so Xath finally told everyone through the rings quite pointedly that the only reason Dara was brought in was to know who the father was after L'Aurel said she was not going to ask if Dara wanted to play nursemaid. And since IC there may be some question as to it possibly being Archon's and she is in the room might as well keep going :P

Tiring of the gentle weening of information, Archonus turns to face Dara.
"Dara! The Circle of the rebellion you claim to fight for asked you here for one purpose and that purpose was to discover the identity of your child's father."
As he walks closer to her his voice raises to a most commanding tone.
"Who is the father?!"

Xath buries her hands in her face. She rings to the others in a defeated tone, "So much for the tactful approach."

Justice, glaring at Archonus gasps, obviously shocked by her friends behavior.
L'Aurel's smile widens as she sees the past being played out again and her friends reacting as they had time and time again. Her glance sliding quickly from face to face.

OOC- Does Dara still have 2 hands? If so, does one have any markings?
She has two hands, and you can't see her palms.

Archonus has NO intention of making Dara his childs wetnurse.
The fact remains that she may be the best choice, at least from a combat capabilities standpoint.

"Dara! The Circle of the rebellion you claim to fight for asked you here for one purpose and that purpose was to discover the identity of your child's father."

"Who is the father?!"
"Honor binds me no less than he! I will not say, and there is nothing you can do to force me! I fight for Jansten's rebellion," she continues, turning a near-worshipful face to the powerful war mage, "not yours. Only because he has joined his fate to yours have I come here."

No. Archon objected before she was brought in. We brought her in to determine whether or not he was the father of her child. She wasn't a canidate for nursemaid after Archon let on about their past.
An idea can be objected to without being dismissed. If nothing happened in this game that someone objected to, the Circle of the Phoenix would be rotting heads hanging from the Thanesport bridge. He has every right to object - but dismissing *any* idea out of hand can only hurt you and the child's future.

Xath turns to the circle and rings "Well, as long as we're certain that the father isn't Archonus, it's really none of our business. The issue still remains that we need to find a nursemaid for Archonus' daughter. And while I really hate to be judgemental, this woman seems to be a bit of a nut-job. She may be a battle-capable warrior, but I'm not quite sure where all of her loyalties lie, aside from a fanatical devotion to Jansten. And we need to be sure that whomever we entrust with Archonus' daughter is truly loyal to the Phoenix Kingdom and us."

Archonus looks to Xath in recognition or the ring message. Then turns to face Dara with cool indifference.
"We are done with you. Be on your way."

Without removing her head from her hands. Ring: "And the way we've been treating her, I doubt she'd take the job anyway."

Something for Friday:
L'Aurel follows Dara's dazed look and still finding a strange humour to all this mischeviously smiles up at Jansten's overly handsome face. Through the rings she asks, "Are you the father?"

I believe it was sometime during those 279 days. That's about as specific as we got.
When would Xath have decided to call this meeting to order? I know DM rules the final, but for later story hour fun it may be nice to have a narrower field then 279 days :P
