Babies and Wet-Nurses: A Conversation

Justice's eyes widen. "Apecto's line? ... excuse me?"
She looks startled, her suddenly wild eyes search the room for something you cannot see, silently pleading with a presence you suspect exists only in her battered mind. For a moment, they seem to settle on Jansten. "My lady?"

"What makes you think that I am of the line of the Apecto. Afterall, he is presumed to have had no children."

She seems to recover, at least partially. "In the north, his line is infamous as a foe to the hated Bluestar!"

Justice shoots a quick look to Jansten - her eyes burning with questions. Raising her hand and forcing her emotions to calm, she seems to physically steer the conversation back to where it went astray. "I believe that you are mistaken, Lady Goldenblade, but we shall discuss this at length at a later time. Back to the matter at hand. You and your child."

Xath rings in soothing tones. "Easy there, Justice. We know that the Bluestar knows things about the line. And from all accounts, she was fairly far gone in his service. With Jansten's people here, the details of your heritage may be more popular than we would have guessed. But we'll take it in stride, not to worry."

((Rings - Oh, I do not worry. However, the Bluestar himself only learned of my lineage 6 months ago, if a little more. I doubt it is something he so casually let slip, even to those closest to him. I just want to know what she knows about my line. It is not something I need falling into the wrong hands at the wrong time. As I learned from Bishop Carr, it threatens the very foundation of the church - and now would be the worst time for it to crumble.))

And obviously he is not going to answer.... though if actually there he would have spoken about what he supposedly said and her looks and such.....

Through the rings "Justice, it is not as if it has been a well kept secret. You made a display of it in the church at Caer Mylen and Preston is known for some of his beliefs in his line. As Xath has stated the Bluestar knows, since you did tell him. But he only seemed to know for sure after you told him. Though it has not been shouted, tales are not surprising. That she is so assured...."

I didn't expect a response from Janny... was just dramatic flavor - the question was for Dara. :)

((Rings - A flood of words pours of the rings, you detect a sort of surprise and shock in her words - as if she did not expect the thoughts from the other two women of the Circle. "The so-called display was nothing more than Holy energy - something everyone in the church has experienced many times. My lineage was only made known to Bishop Carr, that I made sure of. I have have been a bit zealous, but I was not so foolish as to let the entire population of the church know my frustrations.

I realize that some in the North know, but I have the hunch that this woman would not be privy to such information. I am not upset, nor in need of reassurance. I would simply like to know how she came to know this information - little more. I am sure, L'Aurel, if she were to address you in the same way, you would want to dig deeper as well.

However, I understand the importance of the matter at hand and will not stray from it any further."
