BackBone Belt and Redoubled Efforts

The Redoubled Efforts feat in MP2, allows one to forgo the +2 bonus to defenses for using one's Second Wind, in order to gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls until the end of one's next turn.

Backbone Belt allows one to gain a +4 bonus to defenses for using one's Second Wind, instead of the normal +2.

So is Backbone Belt useless if one uses the Redoubled Efforts Feat?
