Bandwidth vs. Broadband?

Then again, I now have three or four game consoles stacked on the dvd player.

At least with console games and DVDs you have to go through the trouble of getting them out of the cases, putting them in the player(s), etc. TV is just too easy. I actually only got satellite TV so that my wife would have some sort of reception, at least. Now that I have more time on my hands, though, I do the channel-surfing thing waaay too much.

They are, indeed, tax deductible. I work for Helixe, a wholly owned studio for THQ. We make games for Nintendo handhelds: the Nintendo DS and the Nintendo GBA.

I'm a game designer there, and recently finished with the game for Pixar's Ratatouille. I'm currently the lead designer for an as-yet-unannounced game. It's nifty!

How did you manage to go from a job as someone who advises people on sleep to a video game designer? I wouldn't have thought there would be a lot of overlap in skill sets.

Do you deal with the game coding or is your job more of a "design the overall game" sort of role? (As you can see, I'm not sure what exactly a lead designer does. ).
