Barbarian - Path of the Gloambound

Yeah I like that a lot more. The saving throw could alternatively be Cha.

I considered that, but most of the abilities that spook, terrify, or otherwise do psychic damage (dissonant whispers, staggering smite, phantasmal killer, vicious mockery, etc.) call for wisdom saves.

Pierce the Veil doing force damage when Harrowing Strike does psychic is a little off-putting, but I like the overall flavor of this Barbarian path. Would any damage be dealt to the creature or object if you end your turn inside it? Something on par with the damage caused by Harrowing Strike at 14th level seems appropriate to me, but it might make the power more powerful than intended and cause some players to try to intentionally end their turn in an occupied space in order to deal the damage.

Harrowing Strike does psychic damage because it is a gory, horrific ghost getting all up in your face.

Regarding Ghostly Apotheosis, I modeled it to hew as closely to the incorporeal movement power of ghosts, wraiths, and specters as I could so as to keep it simple.

I have to agree with Caddo that having two damage types doesn't feel right, and between the two psychic is much more flavorful. I'd find a way to use only psychic damage, or something flavorfully similar.

If we're being all ghost-like, what if capstone is that your gloam could possess an enemy? I wouldn't want the player to control the NPC (that doesn't sound very barbarian-like) but...well, something. I dunno.

I don't want to go too crazy with the ability. It is only a level 14 ability, after all, and not a capstone in the traditional sense.

One thing I did consider was immunity to poison and necrotic damage while raging, like other incorporeal creatures.

Yeah, that's a good point. As you said earlier, it should be in line with other barbarian level 14 abilities (although they do vary quite a bit).

I like that.
 

But I think the poison and necrotic immunity comes from their undead nature, not their incorporealness.

I think being able to move through solid objects is pretty good in itself, since it lets you move through the floor and avoid OAs.
