D&D 5E Barbarian vs Fighter vs Monk

I'm pretty sure he can bring a lot of damage to bear.

Any with the multiple wildshapes, he can really bear a lot of damage.

I don't think you need to bear weapons to be competitive in melee.

This arrangement of sentences is pretty fishy. Seems to be the scribblings of a raven lunatic.

What, no witty response? Cat got yer tongue?

Man, quit dogging me. I'm not your internet toady. Why must you always ape my cool posts?
:)

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but just because you finish behind the barbarian and fighter doesn't make a class weak. This having everyone do the same damage is just wishful thinking. Contributing to combat doesn't have a numerical value, as long as damage is being done it doesn't matter what your rank is.

When does the monk pick up this feature? I haven't got hold of a PHB yet, but have read a lot of discussions about the monk and haven't seen any reference to it elsewhere.
You are quoting a post that is over a year old. I was discussing the playtest monk as it stood at that time.

I'm sure someone who has the PHB can tell you how the monk has changed in the intervening 12 months.

I'm sorry, this makes no sense at all.

A character class that was identical to the fighter in every respect, but had a -4 penalty to hit, would still deal damage. But clearly would not be balanced with the fighter.
