Is anyone else having trouble getting an order through? I get some kind of error message about a preauth transaction...

Yeah, credit card did not work for me. I had to take PayPal.

Wait up guys. I had the same credit card problem. Someone pointed out to me that they just had a wierd delay and still got an email later saying the order was placed. I had the same thing happen. Problem for me was that i rebooted and tried another order thinking i had done something wrong and ended up placing a second!! So make sure you don't have a problem like me!!

Thanks for taking care of this. But if an error message basically tells me that the authorization of my credit card failed ("error: preauth failed" or somesuch message) and sends me back to the screen before, this makes me think that the order did not go through. When I then chose PayPal, I got another error message that the system was unable to send out an e-mail notification. Altogether, I got one e-mail notification for one of these transactions.

As you already told me that you will look out for double orders, this should not be a problem. I just tell you what happened so that you get an idea, why I did what I did .

Edit: I just got the message that my order has already shipped. That was fast !

Is it just me, or didn't it say that there was free shipping with orders? I went to order at the online store to ship to a relative in Michigan, and there was an $8 charge.

It depends on what shipping you choose. If you choose the 5-8 day media mail, it was free. It you want the super duper "there's already a knock at my door" shipping, it costs extra.
