Steve's pretty much explained the shipping thing, but I'll go into a bit more detail for those of you that want to know.

I've always had free shipping at the Bastion store as an option, since we charge full retail price most of the time so as not to compete (anger) our favorite local gaming stores. When we get paid full retail, I'm more than happy to absorb some (or all) of the shipping costs, depending on how fast you want your books.

Our warehouse ships everything via UPS, and the cheapest rates we've been charged is around $6 per shipment (depending on the zone). So, after about the 7th person ordered a single copy of the book, I saw that we had a serious problem in the shipping costs.

I've changed the shipping options to reflect what we actually get charged to ship the books (more or less). They're not shipped media mail now, so they'll get to you faster.

After the sale, we'll change the options back... but the prices will go up. ;-)

How long does media mail take? I think Jim mentioned my books would be sent on Wednesday or Thursday of the week that's just ending.

Don't quote me, I think it is supposed to be 5-8 days. Though I once saw a media mail take over three weeks to make it from California to New Mexico. I don't know what happened on that one. I think USPS walked it here.

I got a shipping notice I believe. Even got an e-mail from UPS which I presume is regarding Bastion. Tracking number says monday tuesday for me. Yay early christmas.

Now I'm sad. I ordered on the first day of the sale and still no books.

I'm sad too. I ordered close to $300 worth of books from all three sales (Bastion, Fantasy, White Wolf) 9-10 days ago and have yet to see anything outside of a credit card bill.

Mine didn't . . . but I did get a giant box of goodies from Fiery Dragon so I've got plenty to occupy my time until the mail arrives tomorrow.

'tis the season (for me to get more games than I can read in a month) and all of that.

Me too!! Unfortunately, my players will have to wait until next month for these gifts since we only play once a month (and our game was yesterday.)

My Bastion books arrived today. I haven't had a chance to look through them in detail yet, but I can say that at a glance they are beautiful. I'm not usually one to be won over by art and presention, but if I were illiterate I would have paid more than $5 each for these books (and the $10 I paid for Oathbound).

Query: Was there a ship notification sent out? My wife is wondering when her order will arrive.

Some people have written to me asking for a tracking number, but (thankfully) most have not. Tracking that stuff by hand is tough. ;-)

Everything that's been ordered is generally sent out via UPS. The exceptions to that are:

1.) You gave us a PO Box for a shipping address (US mail, which our warehouse does twice a week).
2.) International (which probably went out via US Mail as well, and $12-24 doesn't buy really fast service). But probably within 10-14 days.
3.) You paid via Paypal and I didn't get an invoice from the store. That's only one person so far, but they won't respond telling me what they ordered (Are you out there Mr. Ramsey?). ;-)

Everything else has gone out via UPS (so you should see it 3-5 days from when you ordered it). The closer you are to Knoxville, TN the faster you'll see your order.
