Batman fully revealed!

I'm kind of bummed about the cloth cape, myself. The two things I really, really liked about the batsuit from Burton's first batman movie were the shape of the cown where on the bottom (where it met with the bat symbol and cloak in groovy bat-fins) and the nice leather cape. It had texture, flexibility, and weight. It looked like it might be of some kind of tactical use in a fight. It Batman whipped his cape at your face, you move (because those leather tips would hurt, man). And while you're getting out of the way of the cape, Batman owns you. The cloth cape doesn't have the same visual depth to it (not in the shot we have, at least. Everything so far IS based off of one picture, I hope we're all keeping this in mind).

All complaints aside, I'm still excited to see Bale's interpretation of the Bat. :)

And yes, Batman is far from acrobatic. He's the efficient fighter, not the flashy one. Nightwing, otoh, uses all sorts of acrobatic maneuvers.
You guys must have read different Batman comics than I have. He doesn't use flashy moves when a simple move will suffice, no, but he's definitely acrobatic. Tumbling, rolling, kicks, ducks, jumps...he uses them all. I have a hard time imagining Batman tucking himself into a roll in that rubber tank-suit. Heck, he'll have a hard time crouching down behind a wall.

Well, any hopes I had are now dashed. When I heard they were starting over and the new Batman wouldn't have anything to do with those horrid Tim Burton fiascoes and sequels thereof, I looked forward to a potentially decent show. But it's still a guy with rubber muscles, so obviously the mainstream image is to tainted to be redeemed for at least a generation. I shudder to think how they'll mess up Ra's al Ghul

I like it, and I think this movie will redeem the series after the travesty that was Batman Forever and Batman and Robin (I think the two absolute worst movies in the series, and pretty bad across the board for superhero movies are concerned).
