Batman fully revealed!

No nipples this time. That's a step up.

But yeah, cloth would probably work better, if they could get a man who actually has the equivalent of Str 22, Dex 24, and Con 26. I mean, damn, the Batman should be played by an Olympian, with an actor's head digitally superimposed or something.

Hell, if Gollum could work with a guy in a bodysuit, why not have Christian Bale just do the same thing?

Oh god...its' Beatiful! can I copy it please????

It's the mold lines and fakey pseudo muscle lines that really bother me. I mean gods, it's not as well done as greek breastplates were, even. If they're going to do a rubber suit deal (and it CAN work), and if that rubber suit is going to be muscle-esque molded, why can't they just make the muscle molding look like... I dunno.. muscle? Not this freaky Robocop looking square blocky muscle concept they keep doing.

I was really hyped for this one. Bale's Perfect. The batmobile leaves me pale, now the suit.. I don't HATE it, but it's not *Right*.

Ehh. It looks okay. I really do not need to see detailed definition of muscle on the suit (hopefully armored and/or pad-protected against most minor injuries).

I love the costume! Best Bat costume ever (but the one from Batman: Dead End was very sweet)

I would have been satisfied if they went with a more Spider-Man approach, something that is a bit more like spandex, but the mask is perfect.

The new Batmobile ... I'm not so sure. I know why they went with that approach (the Batmobile is more like a tank than a car in Miller's work), but I just not know how well it is going to translate onto film yet. The pics look ... menacing, but not really "cool".

I just want good story, acting & directing. I loved the first Batman and have hated each one after more and more. Unless reviews are stellar I will not even bother with this movie.

KnowTheToe -> The script review has been mind-blowing, so I have very high hopes for this one.

I like the costume. The Bat-suit has been described as having 10 layers of kevlar (15 under the hood and symbol) and 5 layers of nomex (flame-retardant material). Since the costume, in the movie, is a former military prototype, the mold lines work perfectly (remind me of police vests).

Gee, you say that as if the mainstream would know what makes a good Batman movie.

Makes sense to me. While it may be interesting to see a cloth costume it doesn't make sense with all the tech that Wayne has available. Maybe if it was set 40 years ago...

When he was preparing for his run on Batman, Jim Lee did a sketch of how the bat-suit looks underneath the gray-and-black exterior. He added the layers of bullet- and fire-proof material, radio antennae inside the "ears", night-sight and flare-resistant lenses inside the hood, extra-thick protection under the soles, hard metallic covers for the forearms and shins, environment-support-material (cooling gel, etc.) throughout the suit.

It pretty much looked like the Bale batsuit.
