We're shipping BattleBox to our warehouse today, so it'll ship to distribution on Friday, and out to retailers next week. So it may be a week or two before you see it in stores.

In terms of Toronto stores, I don't really have a preference. Hairy T was great at one time, but I'm not sure how they've been lately. Evidently, there's someone on the boards now who is co-owner of a store in T.O., but I'm not sure who.... (pipe up if you know!)

Online sales - we're affiliated with Steve Jackson and www.warehouse23.com, so it's great if you buy it there -- the listing should appear as soon as they get product.

In canada, I often use www.cyberdungeon.com - they're out of Quebec, which means no PST for me! :)

Hope that helps. Keep your eyes open! We're going to be building more this weekend, 'cause I have a feeling our initial shipment will sell out (we went through our first shipment of Adventure Tiles so fast that warehouse 23 didn't even get their initial order, so feel free to prebook).

Also- breaking news. Counter Collection Gold (ENnie Winner!) is now Out-of-Stock. It was a Limited Edition product and will not be reprinted, so if you were looking for one and happen to see it when you're getting your BattleBox, you should probably grab it.

:)

Thanks,

James

James,

Would you happen to know if any are headed to the Sentry Box in Calgary?

Wil you be making the tracking pad a seperate product as well so as we don't need to but a new battle box everytime we run out or are you guys giving permit to photocopy?

Jason
Each leaf of the tracking pad has a small copyright notice granting the owner permission to photocopy it for personal use. You can fit two sheets over one Letter or A4-sized sheet of paper and photocopy two at a time.

Sure, photocopy away. Also, we'll put up something as a PDF on our site soon (read: eventually!) so you can just download more.

Confused in a good way

Battle box looks cool. I was also looking at your other products and was wondering if there was any overlap between CC gold, CC1, CC2, CP1 etc. It would assist me greatly in deciding which ones i will buy (counter collection gold is a definite and battlebox is on pre-order).
FRPgames.com has it on their site for a pre-order as well for those having difficulty finding the product. Their prices are discounted a bit, which is great.

Two things concern me here.

One is the battle map. It sounds as if the "Dungeon theme" might make it less useful for generic applications. Is there, perhaps, a reverse side that's just plain ruled into squares for other applications?

The other is the sheet of spell templates. Are these intended to be cut out? Otherwise, it seems as if a large sheet would be rather awkward to deal with. I'd rather have individual sheets, personally.

There is only one side with the 1-in. grid, but the appearance of it is generic enough that, with a little willful open-mindedness(TM), it can be used for whatever location you want.

In the coming year or two, it's very possible that we might do other Adventure Tiles products that have other themes: future, generic wilderness, modern urban, fantasy urban, etc. Who knows?

They are indeed intended to be cut out, and they work pretty darn well, if I may say so... ;)

And, of course, once they're cut out you still have your handy-dandy little tin box to keep them in!

Cheers,

CC Gold and CC5: Summoned Creatures have no overlap between them. With both, you will have counters for every creature in the core rules. They're both 3.5-sized (i.e. square spaces).

The earlier Counter Collections and Packs were 3.0 sized, so they may be awkward to use a bit.

All creatures in CC1 and CC2 are included in CCGold + CC5: Summoned. Unless you want multiple orcs, skeletons, goblins (cc1) or a large selection of PC counters (cc2), you'd be better off getting the latest Counter Collections.

The Counter Packs, although sized for 3.0, have very specific themes. If you ache for fiends, go for CP1: Demons & Devils. If you want groups (a hobgoblin warband, an orc horde, a demonic cult, etc), go for CP2: Tribes, Clans & Cults. If you're into drow, go for CP3: Denizens of Darkness & Dungeons... and so on.

IMHO, the best approach is to get CC Gold and CC5: Summoned Creatures, to have all bases covered. No overlap among themselves and cover the entire core rules.

You can say that again! I've been a loyal patron for more than twenty years! I am really looking forward to picking up a Battle Box there as soon as they are on the shelves.
