Battle Dancer without unarmed damage

i just found the battle dancer base class in the dragon magazine compendium and i like the class but i dont like playing unarmed characters. i want to replace the extra unarmed damage with something else. any suggestions?

if you get any weapon you'll lose the bonuses so it's meaningless to get the class. but you can enhance your unarmed damage with improved natural attack. and also check the slippers of battledancing at dmg2
