******* TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS - WINNERS SHRINE *******

Winner of the Tournament of Champions, CR 0.5 - Krusk the Half-Orc (CE)

Krusk beat Bhuka Brasi (LG), Bearclaw the Wild Elf (CG), and Biske the Tiefling (NE) to win. If you have 6 hp or less, it is best not to argue with Krusk and his trusty falchion. One hit and you're gone.

Winner of the Tournament of Champions, CR 1 - Ferris the Feral Slasher (CN)

Ferris beat Benedict the Bladeling (LN), Lancela White the Zenythri (LG), and Hujarlk the Half-Giant (NG) to win. Ferris' fear and stunning attacks more than make up for his less impressive damage, and his speed consistently shocked his opponents into missing with the few swings that they managed to get off. The Creature Catalog people have promised to promote Ferris to CR 2, given his sheer domination in this tournament.

Winner of the Tournament of Champions, CR 2 - Gelharin the Musteval Guardinal (NG)

Gelharin beat Thorn the Splinterwaif (NE), L.L. Goon the Voidmind Grimlock (LE), and Protectar II the Protectar (LG) to win. In a tournament marked by several draws and marathon combats, Gelharin slowly emerged as a dominant player. His lethal combination of unlimited magic missiles, burrowing, and focused movement proves that even a tiny creature can be extremely dangerous.

Winner of the Tournament of Champions, CR 3 - Fang II the Very Young Fang Dragon (CN)

Fang II beat Feo the Rust Dragon Wyrmling (LN), Immersa the Bronze Dragon Wyrmling (LG), and Biscut 24D the Chaos Dragon Wyrmling (CG) to win. Dragon entrants flooded the tournament, but Fang came up with an ingenious tactic - the out-of-the-blocks bull rush. Combined with sheer will against multiple whiffs of confusion gas, Fang emerged victorious.

Winner of the Tournament of Champions, CR 4 - Jalnur the Very Young Blue Dragon (LE)

Jalnur beat Poccri the Very Young Brass Dragon (CG), Fang III the Young Fang Dragon (CN), and G'aufs the Very Young Chaos Dragon (CE) to win. In a tournament once again dominated by dragons, Jalnur prevailed in some very tough fights that went down to the wire. Her powerful breath weapon served her well as she advanced, but it was her fake confusion tactic that gave her the edge in the final.

Winner of the Tournament of Champions, CR 5 - Luparo the Lupinal Guardinal (NG)

Luparo beat Dana Dane the Nightmare (NE), Jellyfish the Faze (CE), and Fishboy the Noviere Eladrin (CG) in a marathon final match to win. This tournament featured a diverse group of champions, but Luparo's spellcasting ability combined with his healing and tough defenses provided another showcase for the guardinals' superiority in one-on-one combat.

Winner of the Tournament of Champions, CR 6 - Q the Qorrashi (LN)

Q beat Slurpy the Mud Slaad (CN), Whisper the Bralani Eladrin (CG), and Equuos the Equinal Guardinal (NG) to win. 14th level cones of cold, three times a day. Enough said.

Winner of the Tournament of Champions, CR 7 - Fang IV the Juvenile Fang Dragon (CN)

Lor the Nimblewright took CN to the finals by beating Rockette the Oread (LN) and Fly Fish the Uobilyth (NE). Then after a marathon final with Bo the Arrow Demon (CE), a draw was declared, biringing alternates on both sides. Fang easily dismissed Dust Boy the Dust Wight in the final match between the alternates.

My bladeling did 2 points of damage to the warpony with its razor storm. Should that qualify under most damage by one spell or ability?

That record was not intended for extraordinary abilities, just spells and spell-like abilities.

Should I split up the category and have one for spells, spell-like ability, extraordinary ability, & supernatural ability?

You do not have to do that (especially if you think you have too many categories already), but it makes me wonder what a dragon's breath weapon would count as (damage by an attack, or damage by ability (supernatural)).

I could rename the category "Most Damage by One Spell or Ability (Sp or Su)". The dragon breath would also qualify for most total damage in one round.

So the choices are:

1) Rename the category to clarify that Ex abilities are excluded
2) Split up the category

2) sounds fine to me, so that spells and breath weapons have different categories. I do not think it is necessary to have an Ex damage category, as there are very few damaging Ex abilities that are not normal attacks anyway.
