Battlestar Galactica returns! (Possible spoilers leaked)

Other than some ocaisionaly hokey plots the Original Battlestar Galatica was actualy fairly realistic in its science (except for the phasers on ships but only B5 of all major Sci-fi seems to have done that right). As realistic as firefly is in its depiction of death and the human condition I would not hold it up as realistic in science or ecconomics.

You know, that's true up to a point, at least. On one episode a fire was raging in one of the Galactica's damaged fighter bays (there'd been a crash or something - it's been a while)

The wounded Adama put the fire out the logical way - by venting that portion of the ship to vaccuum.

You'd never see that on Star Trek.

There was at least one episode that I recall from TNG that did do that, but the ship was damaged and they were trapped in a cargo bay.

Yes, but then Wesley traveled back in time to use the Quasiphasic Generators to prevent the fire from breaking out.

So it doesn't count. ;)
