Bebilith Armor Destruction overpowered..

My typical response whenver a player in my game complains about a demon's special ability is...

"It's a demon. Do you want to go tell it what it can't do?"

Glad you brought this power up. I didn't know about it...and now I have a new toy. :)

Bebilith fighting demons...

In regards to what was said about the Bebilith's primary foes not wearing armor...Could always rule the ability works on natural armor too. :)

Why should a CR3 medium size rust monster be able to?

At least for that one, it's magic.

It's just another wierd monster ability.

If you mean "stupid", I agree. And the rust monster is just as stupid. The thing has a propeller tail, for heaven's sake.

The only reason you can't sunder armor is it's not a melee weapon. You can still use strike an object rules. (I don't have MMII, so if it's worded as improved sunder or somesuch well... it's named wrong).

The bebilith's ability has nothing to do with the strike object rules. You make a grapple check whenever it hits, and if it succeeds, the armour goes boom. It's basically a wart left over from 1E/2E.

I think its great!

Warts and all.

Seriously; the players don't really have too much to fear these days.

Poison is a little hasstle compared to what it was. Energy Draining doesn't cause PCs to flee in terror. But hit them once or twice with a Bebilith, and they'll be weeping all the way home to their armoury...

I think it's in the DnD FAQ, but attacking armor is the same as attacking the character; there is no way to damage armor, except for stuff like the belbith's attack.
