How can a Berbalang summon a third and fourth duplicate, if Summon Duplicate only works while not bloodied? Even with a leader around to heal them (unlikely since they're Solo), they still only have 1 healing surge, so the fourth duplicate is impossible to summon?

I think it's one of those throw-away lines tossed in there to prevent silly rules abuses.

It prevents, for example, the berbalang summoning up two minions, taking a nap, summoning up two more, taking a nap, and so on and so forth until he has a veritable army of minions to take over the world.

I've very interested in the return of the berbalang. I have a soft spot for that monster since it was the featured villain in an old Dungeon adventure that I used to kick-off my one and only 2e campaign back in high school.
