BESM d20 - I think I'm in love

They're going to be releasing a reprint of the main rulebook again in a month or two, which will both be updated to 3.5e and will include the Mecha rules. I've got the Stingy edition, and I'll keep it for table reference, but I'll pick up the new hardback for real reading.

I have been banging my head trying to figure out how to do a Post apocalyptic grim and gritty Gamma Worldish type campaign. The current d20 Gamma World stinks in my opinion and I don't want to go with D20 Modern. And here it is like a beam of heavenly light. BESM d20! I bet I could do a great post apocalyptic setting using it! Thanks for the inspiration. ;)

Really? So I bought both books too soon? :\
Unfortunately, it seems so. You might see if they have a return policy wherever you picked them up, and get a different book until the new version comes out.

As I look through Centauri Knights and Trigun D20 (expect reviews soon!), the words of my original review come back.

"My worry extends to future products from GOO. After all, Mecha d20 isn't being touted as being fully compatible with D&D, it's noted as being fully compatible with BESM d20. Does that mean that materials like A Game of Thrones or Slayers are using BESM too? With each release I can see BESM becoming more and more enriched and useful but also see those books lacking the compatibility that 95% of the standard d20 books have with the core rules. "

This to me puts BESM d20 in a simliar category as say, d20 Modern. Simliar engine, but different, sometimes vastly, results. Still love it though and looking forward to the new version with the d20 Mecha rules incorporated into 'em.

And as I look through the GOO Website, I spot this.
