D&D (2024) Best AP for 2024 Game? Can Include Paizo/Older Editions.

They ported two into 5e. One indirectly and one directly.

They ported Kingmaker indirectly, by releasing Kingmaker as a PF2e hardback and a supplemental 5e book that had the monsters as such for 5e.

They ported Abomination Vaults directly into 5e. It is currently available in hardback.

If I were to have my choice of any Adventure Path out there with a group that had never played any of them...I think it depends on how long I expected the campaign to go.

I'd probably choose Paths of Immortality (if you have all the modules, most probably do not) or Rise of the Runelords.

Alternate choices probably would something like Kingmaker, Skulls and Shackles (pirate themed AP), Wrath of the Righteous (Crusader type campaign), or War for the Throne (GoT type?). Abomination Vaults (Dungeon Crawl) is not a bad choice either.

If I wanted to run one I haven't run yet I'd run one of the following, Return of the Runelords, Seven Dooms for Sandpoint or if going for a D&D one I haven't ever run but want to one day...Age of Worms.

Seven Dooms for Sandpoint is available. PF2? Is it good?

You own it/read it good vibes?

I'm using Sandpoint in BG4 type campaign.

I own it in hardcopy. I haven't read it yet. Looked at some of the overviews of it and am excited about it. Too much gaming stuff and too little time. My next APs I'm running will be Abomination Vaults 5e, and then maybe Waterdeep Dragon Heist.

Big fan of Sandpoint, Sasserine and Magnimar.

Probably the best adventure for 2024 is one that highlights how different members of the same species can be from each other.

Kingmaker has a 5e version.

There’s a level 1 adventure than can dovetail into 7 Dooms called Rusthenge that is set near Sandpoint/Magnimar.

I had a great time running a 5e conversion of the Pathfinder 1e Carrion Crown Adventure Path using fantastic conversion notes found in the files section on this site, which covers books 1-3. That happens to be a great ending point for the AP storywise with the main apparent villain remaining the same through 1-3 and ending with a decent climax point instead of the ultimate BBEG who is only introduced in the less gothic #6 lich themed one.

Also two of the 5e supplementary modules for the AP from Legendary games work well for the beginning, the first Raven one fits in seamlessly, the second fiddler one fit in great with some slight tweaks (changing the demonic fiddler villain to the AP ghost bard).
