Best City books?

Are you kidding?! Freeport is without a doubt the best city I've ever used, and I've used quite a few. Freeport was originally just a stop for the first modules in my campaign, and now I can't get my players out of it (nor do I want them too.) The book and the NPC guide have so much to offer that I could campaign in Freeport indefinately. I use the newspaper as my newsletter, I have the players commonly encounter the town politics and characters with ease. I love Freeport!

Dealt with the Sea Lord's vacant position yet? I agree with you on Freeport. If a DM and/or players like a chance for role playing that features intrigue, encounters with NPCs, etc. than Freeport is the best D20 setting for such opportunities.

just the sea lord? We've had like 4 or 5 member's of the captain's council get offed too. Some by our hand, (they were making illegeal bids for power) some we had nothing to do with. We do have a new sea lord but there are currentlly 2 empty seats on the council and everytime we deal with the council there seems to be more. we're getting a bad reputation.

I agree that Freeport is a great city setting. We are also using Bluffside (called Highgate) and that city is great too.

Anyone left from the original Captain's Council? :D If so, which ones? It definitely sounds like you've gotten into the spirit of that setting.

Oh sure. Capt Roberts is the sea lord. We killed Drac and I think 2 other members of the original capt's council. then Soderheim killed Lady Elise and framed us for the crime and he killed another member of the council in his bid to be the next sea lord but we got Capt roberts into the position, and killed soderheim.

of course during this whole thing we were member's of the Freeport city watch. Of corse now a days the other player is the head of the Freeport elven crime family. and My charachter has inheritated a barony on the main land. Near Highgate (Bluffside) which contains the town of Kirkwood. but we're back in freeport again for our latest adventure. I love that city.

I'm gonna pimp our story hours: book 1 , book 2 part 1, book 2 part 2
