best D&D Adventures

Red Hand of Doom is the only 3.X module I've played so far, and I'm really enjoying it.

From earlier editions:
- Temple of Elemental Evil
- Egg of the Phoenix
- Secret of Bone Hill
- Against the Giants
- Slaver's series

I haven't run all of these yet, but I have at least read them all:

Crucible of Freya
Tomb of Abysthor
Rappan Athuk
Lost City of Barakus
Shackled City adventure path
Death in Freeport
Terror in Freeport
Madness in Freeport
Hell in Freeport
Demons and Devils
Necropolis

I am also interested in Red Hand of Doom, but I haven't read much of it yet. I also really need to get into the Goodman Games series of Dungeon Crawl Classics. There are far too many trustworthy people who love them, I should check them out.

I am in love with Age of Worms. We are currently playing through it and having a BLAST.

Shackled City was really nicely done. I couldnt really ask for more out of an adventure path.

RHoD was alright. Its a far cry from SC and what ive seen so far in AoW though.

WLD is piss poor imo.

From what ive seen of RttToEE it looks really cool.

The Dungeon Crawl Classics and Rapan Athuk come very highly recomeneded as well.

Im a "new school" D&D player though, so i cant comment on to much.

My favorites so far (my opinions of course and not necessarily in order)....

1) The Shackled City AP Hardcover - Best full campaign in a long time and my favorite 3rd Edition product to date.

2) The Age Of Worms AP - It looks like this may surpass the Shackled City if it plays as good as it reads. I think the adventures here are a tad better than the previous AP.

3) Return To The Temple of Elemental Evil - a perfect sequel by one of the best designers. We TPK'ed here early when 3rd edition was young, I still would like to do this one day although it's unlikely.

4) Crucible of Freya (Necromancer Games) - with the Wizard's Amulet free prequel download. One of the best first level adventures I have DM'ed.

5) The Grey Citadel (Necromancer Games) - Awesome urban adventuring.

6) Nemorin's Vault (Fiery Dragon, iirc) - Another great starting module.

7) Mad God's Key (1st level/Dungeon #114) - Jason Bulmahn. This was a masterpiece for us. The Chase scene was great.

8) The Whispering Cairn (1st level/Dungeon #124) - Erik Mona. Though I already mentioned the Age of Worms AP, it has a brilliantly designed tomb and could be used as a great start to any campaign.

9) Mellorn Hospitality (7th level/Dungeon #107) - Russell Brown

10) Lost Temple of Demogorgon (14th level/Dungeon #120) - Sean K. Reynolds

11) The Mud Sorcerer's Tomb (updated to 3.5, 14th level/Dungeon #138) - Mike Shel

There really are too many to list in Dungeon Magazine. Anything by Greg A. Vaughan comes to mind in particular.

My top 5, sticking to 3e only (and subject to change!):

1) Dungeon magazine (no, I can't just pick one)
2) Lost City of Barakus (Necro Games)
3) Tomb of Abysthor (Necro Games)
4) Rappan Athuk Reloaded (Necro Games)
5) Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil (WotC)

Honorable Mentions:
- Red Hand of Doom (WotC)
- Vault of Larin Karr (Necro Games)

Another one for NeMoren's Vault: style, handouts, backstory, web enhancement, way to get the PCs involved...very nice overall.

As far as WotC goes, Sunless Citadel was good and RtToEE has been good so far, but it really does turn into truly huge dungeon crawl. Am playing in the Whispering Cairn, interesting so far.

I want to add Necropolis and the Maure Castle series in Dungeon to my list. I haven't had the chance to run either of them (although I ran Mordenkainen's Fantastic Adventure back in the day), but hope to, at some point.

Also, since I saw someone put in previous edition adventures, here are my picks for that:
B1
X1
X2
CM1
T1-4
D1-3
U1
A4
I3
I6
S1
Return to the Tomb of Horrors
